SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG (SMG) was founded in November 2021 as a joint venture between Mobiliar, TX Group, Ringier und General Atlantic.
With today’s IPO of SMG, Mobiliar is reducing its shareholding to 19.3% and thus remains a significant shareholder in the leading online marketplace in Switzerland.
Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Mobiliar in the IPO of SMG. The team was led by Christoph Neeracher and Luca Jagmetti (both M&A) as well as Urs Kägi (Capital Markets) and further included Dieter Dubs, Florian Schweighofer (both Capital Markets), Sebastian Sutter, Aurèle Bertrand (both M&A), Susanne Schreiber, Fabian Capt (both Tax) as well as Mani Reinert (Antitrust).
