Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors which was formerly Gulbenkian, Harris, Andonian, is a top tier UK based boutique law firm headquartered in Holborn, London. We are one of the city’s most recognised and respected full-service law firms and we offer our expertise and legal advice on many areas of UK law.

Our
firm has its origins in another firm called Isadore Goleman
solicitors which is now a pure commercial law practice. Prior to
setting up Gulbenkian Andonian in 1985, Dr
Bernard Andonian

used to be a partner at Isadore Goldman where he specialised in
commercial litigation. Dr Andonian is of Armenian heritage and his
expertise and interest in the law was set out to help the Armenian
community who had migrated to the UK. In 1984 another partner at
Isadore Goldman Solicitors, Paul
Gulbenkian

who specialises in practising immigration and human rights law, asked
Dr Andonian if he would consider changing his practice from
commercial litigation to immigration and human rights law to better
serve the needs of the Armenian community.

Both
Dr Andonian and Paul Gulbenkian decided to set up an office as a
subsidiary of Isadore Goldman Solicitors to deal purely with US
immigration laws. One of their most prominent clients during this
time was the actor Michael York who starred as one of the original
actors in the film, the Three Musketeers.

In
1989 Dr Andonian, Paul Gulbenkian (who are both today First-tier
Tribunal (IAC) Judges) and another solicitor at Isaodre Goldman,
Lionel Harris decided form Gulbenkian Harris Andonian Solicitors with
a focus on practising immigration, human rights and conveyancing law.
Lionel Harris left the firm in 1995 and the firm became Gulbenkian
Andonian Solicitors as it is known today.

Over
time, Dr Andonian was recognised for his achievements in the field of
UK immigration law and was appointed on the executive committee of
the immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA), a position he
had until he was appointed by the Lord Chancellor as an immigration
judge.

As
Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors grew and got more popular, the firm
manage to obtain a strong portfolio of clients and later expanded its
services and expertise to serve in the areas of corporate, employment
and intellectual property.

In
2010 Dave
Vasoodaven

who was formerly a senior Associate at Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors
became a partner at the firm and was a key part of the firm’s
expansion into corporate, employment and intellectual property law.
Currently, Mr Vasoodaven is the Managing partner of the firm and
continues to lead it maintaining its reputation as one of the UK's
leading immigration and human rights law firms and a firm that today
regularly advises businesses on complex, cross-jurisdictional
corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters.

In
2018, Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors changed its legal status to an
Alternative Business Structure (ABS). This change in legal status
allows the firm to expand its business portfolio through the
provision of complementary business services in addition to legal
services which has been put in place to better servie the interests
of its growing corporate clients.
