Career

Francesco practices primarily in the entertainment (both interactive/digital and traditional) and media sectors, in relation to which he handles Intellectual Property and copyright law, personal data protection, Information Technology and advertising laws matters. Francesco assists national and international clients in drafting and negotiating agreements, in litigation-related matters, in setting out corporate procedures/policies, in providing compliance assessment of advertising campaigns and creative contents, as well as in the management of digitization projects (also through the application of legal tech and smart-drafting systems) and gamification ones. Francesco also has experience in M&A transaction relating to industrial, innovative, and creative target-companies.

Francesco was a member of the firm from 2017 to 2022 and rejoined in 2023 after a one-year experience at the boutique specializing in interactive entertainment, gaming, and esports, Andrea Rizzi & Partners.

Prior to that, he also collaborated with the Intellectual Property, Information Technology, and Data Protection department of Chiomenti.

Francesco, together with other LCA’s colleagues, is a co-author of the book titled “Diritto della pubblicità – tutele e contenzioso” (Advertising Law – Safeguards and Litigation” published by Giuffre Lefebvre in 2020, edited and directed by Gianluca De Cristofaro.

He also co-authored with Andrea Rizzi an article titled “Esports: an overview of a new(ish) frontier in digital entertainment”, which was published in the WIPO Magazine in 2022.

Francesco is a member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) and serves as a lecturer on media, intellectual property, and video game law in master’s and specialized courses.

Francesco received the award for the best dissertation in industrial property by the IP attorneys firm Studio Torta (3rd ed., 2015). Moreover, in 2022 he won the IPR Gorilla Emerging IP Player award.
