Counsel - Administrative Law

Position

Katia assists clients in administrative law and public economic law. She works, in particular, in the areas of land use planning, urban planning and construction, environmental, energy and infrastructure law.
She has gained extensive experience in territorial and urban planning, assisting clients in real estate developments, rehabilitation and redevelopment of urban areas and brownfield sites. She deals with residential, tourist-hotel, tertiary and commercial developments, as well as health care facilities and the planning and implementation of logistics hubs.
In the environmental field, she works in administrative procedures related to planning and implementation of projects (SEA, EIA, Vinca), environmental and landscape constraints and protected natural areas.
In environmental law, she advises in procedures for the remediation and the implementation of safety measures of polluted sites, environmental authorizations for the exercise of productive activity (AIA and AUA), waste management, implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.
She has gained significant experience in the energy sector, assisting economic operators in procedures for the location, construction and revamping of plants powered by traditional and renewable sources.

Career

Katia Zulberti joined the Firm in 2017 and became a Counsel in 2019. Previously, she worked for leading Italian law firms.
She has held lectures on environmental law at the Faculty of Architecture at
Polytechnic University of Milan in “Environmental Law” and “Workplace Safety” courses (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014); “Corso di specializzazione in management, economia e diritto delle reti”, [Specialisation course in management, economy and law on energy grids”] provided by MIP/Polytechnic University of Milan (2000-2003); Specialised Master and “L’istruttoria nel procedimento amministrativo” [preliminary stages of administrative law proceedings] in the “Il procedimento amministrativo” [“Administrative Law Proceedings”] course, held by Learning Resources Associates and Giuffrè Editore (2005). Katia has also authored editorial contributions in journals and publications specialising in her practice area.
