Survey Results - Trainee feedback on Littleton Chambers
The lowdown - Pupils (in their own words) on Littleton Chambers
We sent The Lex 100 Pupil Barrister survey to pupils and juniors up to two years in tenancy at Littleton Chambers. Here is what they had to say:
Why did you choose these chambers over any others?
‘Good quality work and a leader in its field’
How does your training compare with what you have heard from pupils at other chambers?
‘Excellent. I get several formal assessments and all work is assessed – it is very transparent and much more rigorous than what I have heard at other chambers’
What is the best thing about the chambers?
‘The interesting and challenging work you are exposed to, as well as the people at chambers who are warm, helpful and welcoming’
What is the worst thing about the chambers?
‘There can be long hours – whilst technically it is a 9-6 pupillage, ultimately, the nature and intensity of the work means it is much longer hours than that’
What has been the best moment of your training to date?
‘The recent advocacy exercise we had to do – it was fun, informative and a helpful training exercise’
What has been the worst moment of your training to date?
‘Receiving tough feedback when a piece of work I did missed the mark’
