Barrientos, Alejandro is partner of the Intellectual Property, Privacy, New Technologies and Legal Advertising Department.

Alejandro is a recognized professional in his area of practice. He has vast experience in advising national and international clients in intellectual property matters, particularly in patents, trademarks, personal data protection and biotechnology.

He practiced law at one of the most prestigious law firms in Argentina and, abroad, at Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox, Washington D.C. Prior to joining Bruchou, he was International Patent and Regulatory Law Coordinator at Cavelier Abogados in Colombia.

In addition, Alejandro Barrientos holds a double degree in law and science. On the one hand, he is a graduate of Universidad Austral, where he also obtained a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Rights and later completed his studies in 2013 with an L.L.M. – Master in Laws – at the University of Pennsylvania, United States. On the other hand, he holds a degree as Chemistry and Biotechnology Superior Technician from the ORT Institute of Buenos Aires.

Appointed practice head in 2021, young partner Juan Zocca is an administrative law specialist with a primary focus on TMT matters – particularly as regards telecommunications, media and broadcasting services; he co-leads the practice alongside IP, data privacy and new-technologies partner Alejandro Barrientos; IP specialist Dámaso Pardo; and corporate and M&A lawyer, Santiago Balbi.
