Albagli Zaliasnik‘s five-member practice leverages criminal, corporate, and regulatory compliance expertise for the identification and management of legal risks. The ‘very good‘ group assists with the creation and implementation of crime prevention models, as well as the development of companies’ internal policies, protocols and regulations. It also advises on the establishment of prevention models for the Financial Analysis Unit, as well as SERNAC (National Consumer Service) and antitrust-related compliance plans. Other areas of strength include data protection and labour law compliance, along with internal investigations. In a significant boost to the practice, the firm established digital platform ComplianceLatam in April 2022, which facilitates collaborative interactions between leading law firms from regional jurisdictions; and comprises compliance officers, legal managers, consultants and auditors. Founding partner and corporate group director Rodrigo Albagli is highly active in compliance matters, while compliance director Francisca Franzani (a May 2022 hire from Carey) is an expert in compliance, anti-corruption and corporate criminal risks.

Albagli Zaliasnik‘s six-strong VC practice covers financing, public offerings of shares, investment funds, and corporate compliance and governance matters. The firm also has a representative office in Miami that assists clients when establishing their presence in the US (through a network of local partners), particularly in relation to real-estate sector investors, start-ups and VC funds. The team is led by Rodrigo Albagli, who also co-heads the firm’s corporate group alongside experienced partner Álvaro Rosenblut. The associate to note, Alvaro Glisser assists companies of various sizes on corporate deals.

Albagli Zaliasnik’s corporate practice acts for both domestic and foreign companies on corporate advisory matters. The 12-strong team is also on hand to structure, plan and execute local and cross-border M&A deals, and has particularly expertise in relation to the  retail, energy, manufacturing, real estate, and food and beverage sectors. The department additionally advises venture capitalists, investment funds, private equity players and financial backers on transactions. Founding partner Rodrigo Albagli, whose broad expertise incorporates M&A, private equity and corporate restructuring; and Álvaro Rosenblut, who delivers ‘great corporate law work‘ are the key practice figures.
