Annie Froehlich is counsel and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, where she practices primarily in the firm’s Export Controls, Economic Sanctions & Customs Practice. Ms. Froehlich principally counsels clients on compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and economic sanctions regulations administered by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).  In addition to regulatory counseling, Ms. Froehlich’s practice includes conducting internal investigations, drafting filings to and interfacing with government regulators, advising on export control jurisdiction and classification, preparing internal compliance policies and procedures, and performing risk assessments in connection with corporate transactions.
