Career
He began his career as a lawyer in the legal department at Banco do Brasil S/A, he was admitted following a public civil service exam. He held various positions during his legal career in the BB conglomerate, including Joint Legal Advisor for the Caixa de Previdência dos Funcionários do Banco do Brasil (Banco do Brasil Employee Pension Fund, PREVI). He has also worked as legal advisor for various institutional investors (Pension Funds and RPPS – Civil Servants’ Social Security System) on matters relating to investments, with a focus on the self-regulation of such entities. In addition, Matheus has held the position of Legal Officer of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) and has published several technical articles in specialized magazines and widely circulated journals.
