Ms. Wang is a partner of Global Law office and specialized in commercial dispute resolution, including international and domestic arbitration, complex litigation. She has extensive practical experience in representing foreign and Chinese client in commercial arbitration and litigation in relation to equity financing, international sale of goods, Chinese-foreign joint ventures, corporate law and shareholder relations, director’s liability, etc.

Position

Ms. Wang has represented clients in arbitration proceedings before international arbitration institutions, including, inter alia, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), ICC International Court of Arbitration (ICC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

 

Ms. Wang has also represented clients in court proceedings before all levels of PRC People’s Courts, ranging from District Courts to the Supreme People’s Court (including CICC of the SPC).

 

Ms. Wang’s experience includes, inter alia, representing-

  • TCP Group (Thailand), in the Red Bull series disputes in relation to joint venture and corporate law, including several litigation proceedings before PRC People’s Courts for disputes on joint venture’s profit distribution, director’s breach of fiduciary duties, shareholder identities, etc., which have been escalated by CICC of the SPC as the first batch of cases tried by CICC due to the significant international influence caused;
  • an offshore VC Fund in arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules administered by the HKIAC in relation to loan agreement disputes;
  • an offshore VC Fund in arbitration proceedings under HKIAC Arbitration Rules taking place in Hong Kong in relation to convertible notes disputes;
  • a Chinese VC Fund in arbitration proceedings before CIETAC in relation to investment agreement;
  • a Chinese famous garment manufacturing company in arbitration proceedings before ICC under the ICC Arbitration Rules taking place in Paris, France, against an Italian company for disputes under a manufacturing technology and know-how license and service contract;
  • a US company in arbitration proceedings before CIETAC against a Chinese company for disputes under an air product supply contract;
  • a Chinese wind-turbine manufacturer in arbitration proceedings before CIETAC against an Italian company and its subsidiary in China for disputes under a supply contract for components, and in court proceeding for disputes under financial lease contracts;
  • a Chinese leading activated carbon manufacturer in the court proceedings on refusal of recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards rendered by HKIAC in relation to joint venture contract disputes and supply contract disputes

Career

Ms. Wang joined Global Law Office in 2014. Prior to joining GLO, Ms. Wang worked with another famous law firm in Beijing in the areas of M&A and FDI.
