Career

Saurabh’s expertise includes advising banks, non-banking financial companies, other financial entities and corporates in relation to a varied array of lending and financing transactions, including by way of acquisition finance, structured finance, interbank borrowings, bond issuances, note issuances and restructuring etc. He regularly assists foreign clients on their overseas direct investments and foreign currency lending. He is frequently involved in structuring and strategizing arrangements from an Indian legal, regulatory and compliance perspective.

Saurabh has an extensive range of experience in precious metals related documentation, structuring and regulatory issues and disputes in relation thereto.

Saurabh also assists banks and corporates with drafting and reviewing of a wide spectrum of project and financing documents in relation to various projects in sectors such as power, renewal energy, transportation, oil and gas, steel, real estate, pharma, hotels telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, etc.

He also regularly advises clients on regulatory issues, including foreign exchange laws, securitisation, stamp duty, policy of financial institutions, etc. He has assisted entities in establishing legal presence to operate their businesses in India, including setting up of non-banking financial companies.

He regularly conducts workshops and presentations for bankers on banking documentation and regulatory and compliance requirements in relation to the same.
