Career

Marcial Fernández Galindo is a partner at PPO Abogados and participates on the Corporate & Commercial and Regulatory teams.

His practice focuses on advising foreign and local companies on their operations in Bolivia. His professional activity covers queries on company basic corporate aspects as well as assistance in connection to complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, transformations, asset sales, restructurings, and dissolutions. Marcial additionally provides advice to companies of all industries in connection to the structuring of their foreign investments in the country, where he provides corporate and regulatory advice.

Prior to joining PPO, Marcial worked as a senior associate at Ferrere. Also, he was general counsel at Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento S.A. (SOBOCE S.A.), in the city of La Paz, where he provided comprehensive advice to the company on its commercial transactions and advised the different companies of the corporate group. He was also an associate at other prestigious Bolivian law firms, where he worked on corporate and M&A matters and was general counsel at TyC Investment Group, a construction company of the Traverso Group.

Marcial Obtained his degree as attorney from Universidad Católica Boliviana in La Paz and holds a Master´s in Business Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain).
