Career

I am a partner practising law since 2009. My main areas of expertise involve real estate and construction law, as well as dispute resolution and constitutional law. I love working on development projects where you can legally structure the perfect property. I also enjoy working with ESG-related issues for construction and engineering firms. Recently I’ve become interested in ESG topics connected with employment policies.

Industry insight. I head the Sorainen real estate and construction sector group where our main goal is to follow-up on industry trends and legal needs from various legal perspectives, thus enabling us to provide the best “fit-for-the-purpose” legal assistance available.

Transactions. Transactions. Transactions. Before joining Sorainen, I worked for the largest real estate portfolio holder in Latvia at the time. Sometimes we had to close multiple transactions per day, thus allowing me to become fluent in the legal requirements for basically any transaction related to real estate or construction. I believe that this knowledge combined with experience in working with large scale development projects allows me to fully undertake the role of the client’s trusted advisor during the full cycle of property development (intake – construction – sale).

Mission. I believe that the core purpose of our profession is to exercise it for advancement of the public good. Therefore I am always happy to actively join the pro bono projects that our office undertakes.
