Cobalt‘s employment and immigration practice boasts an impressive client base, which includes major players, such as Hugo Boss and Johnson & Johnson, from a broad spread of industries. Alongside traditional areas, the team often assists with the relevant asepcts of complex restructurings and M&A deals, as well as advising on immigration-related matters, sanctions compliance, and employee misconduct. Collective and individual redundancies are also core areas of expertise. Toms Šulmanis leads the team, ably supported by Kristine Patmalniece and Ivo Maskalāns.

Ellex‘s employment practice encompasses matters ranging from immigration, restructuring and compliance, to disputes and investigation management arising from misconduct and trade union activity. The practice has further experience in bargaining and collective agreements and redundancies. Valters Kronbergs heads up the department. Vineta Čukste–Jurjeva is another key team member, who brings specialist knowledge of employment law arising from corporate restructurings to the group.
