Gilad Winkler is a partner in FBC’s corporate practice and the co-head of its project finance and energy practice, one of the leading practices in Israel. He advises many of the world’s most prominent companies in Israel’s most significant infrastructure, projects and energy matters, totaling billions of dollars.
Mr. Winkler is ranked by Chambers and Partners as an outstanding lawyer and one of the leading energy practitioners in Israel; he is also ranked as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 and by IFLR 1000.
With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Winkler has been involved in many of the highest-profile and largest transactions in the Israeli market, and has represented leading Israeli and multinational companies in a wide range of industries and sectors, including energy, finance, infrastructure, transportation, natural gas, water and the photovoltaic (PV) energy field, with particular focus on the complex regulatory and real estate aspects that are integral to this sector.
Mr. Winkler has been involved in many large-scale infrastructure and energy projects in Israel and abroad, including projects concerning the construction and operation of roads, railways, power plants, and renewable energy facilities, such as the Tel Aviv Light Rail project, the Gilboa Pumped Storage Plant, as well as other various energy projects utilizing renewable energy technologies and gas infrastructure.
In addition to Israel, Mr. Winkler’s countries of legal expertise in the infrastructure and energy field include England, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
