Position
Friso is an expert in corporate law. Friso specialises in particular in (cross-border) mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other forms of cooperation, private equity and corporate governance (accounting policies, etcetera).
He is used to working with other disciplines, and frequently acts for foreign investors, for instance in investments.
As a member of Van Doorne’s Pension team Friso regularly represents pension funds, in particular in governance issues, mergers and split-ups and group transfer payments.

It advises its clients namely on acquisitions and proposed acquisitions, including the regulatory and due diligence aspects therein. Dimitri van Hoewijk focuses on the transactional elements. Foppes has taken over from former team lead Jeroen Sombezki who departed to Squire Patton Boggs in August 2023.
