Founded in February 2023 by practice head Damien Berkhout and Stefan Tuinenga, Lindenbaum is a dispute resolution boutique firm which is already well-known for its expertise in class actions and competition law. The team has been actively representing plaintiffs in numerous class actions such as data privacy-related claims as well as abuse of dominance claims. Other key matters include representing claimants in competition follow-on cases and trucks mass damages cases.   • Representing the Consumentenbond in a collective action against three large retailers, i.e.: (i) Albert Heijn, (ii) Jumbo and (iii) Plus.
  • Representing in coordination with the largest Dutch farmers’ organization LTO and the poultry farmers’ organization NVP, Dutch poultry farmers in a collective claim against the Dutch egg purchasing cartel.
  • Representing the foundation Stichting Vrij Platformwerk and management board members of this foundation in a class action by FNV and CNV – two labour unions – against the flexible work platform Temper.

  • Acting as counsel to petrochemicals company Braskem as defendant in a case before the Dutch courts that was brought by a group of Brazilian residents of Maceió over cracks and sinking ground near salt mines in that city.
