Career

Manuel Santos Vítor is a partner and has been with Abreu Advogados since 2019, working primarily in Corporate and M&A transactions, having been involved in a great number of the M&A transactions that have taken place in Portugal in the last decades.

He has been a lawyer since 1991, and was a partner in another law firm between 1998 and 2019, serving that firm as Co-Managing Partner and Managing Partner between 2008 and 2015.

He has vast experience in insurance and aviation.

Manuel Santos Vítor regularly provides corporate support (on both commercial and corporate matters) to important business groups, in Portugal and abroad, in a number of business sectors, including corporate governance, family businesses, and corporate reorganisations and restructuring.

In recent years, he has been heavily involved in the energy sectors, in particular renewables and O&G, and natural resources in Portugal and in Africa, mainly in Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau.

He provides regular legal support to several companies in the mining sector in Portugal, Angola and Guinea-Bissau.
