Alessandro Dubini is a partner in Dentons’ Milan office.

He mainly advises major industry groups, leading financial institutions and private equity funds on both domestic and international extraordinary transactions regarding mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate reorganization.

He also gained considerable experience in IPOs, tender offers, corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, as well as on corporate governance matters and commercial contracts.


Alessandro joined Dentons in 2017 from Biscozzi Nobili, an Italian tax and legal advisory firm where he was the head of the legal department. Prior to that, he had been a well-known partner at law firm Pedersoli e Associati for about 15 years. From 1999 to 2001 he had been Head of Legal Department of Banca Aletti & C. S.p.A. and Aletti & C. Asset Management SGR S.p.A.. He started his career at Studio Legale Avv. Casati joining, after that, Negri-Clementi & Associati law firm.

Alessandro often participates as a speaker in conferences and seminars dedicated to corporate law and financial markets.

Dentons is regularly involved in cross-border transactions.  Recent strategic deals include the team advising Johnson & Johnson on the Italian aspects of its global sale of business unit Codman Neurosurgery to US company Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation; and advice to KKR-backed Calsonic Kansei on the Italian aspects of the agreement by its holding company, CK Holdings, to acquire Magneti Marelli, the automotive components business of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Recommended are Alessandro Dubini, Luca Pocobelli, Pier Francesco Faggiano, of counsel Aian Abbas and Barbara Urselli, who was promoted to partner in March 2019; the China desk in Italy is co-headed by Junyi Bai, who joined from Giovannelli e Associati Studio Legale, and counsel Claudio Giammarino. Carsten Steinhauer was a new arrival in January 2019 from McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato. Former corporate and M&A and private equity head Stefano Speroni left the firm for an in-house role at ENI in January 2019.

Acting for both funds and sellers, Dentons focuses mainly on the mid-market. Luca Pocobelli assisted the controlling shareholder of Austrian-based PE firm Lifebrain with the sale of all its shares to an Investindustrial-controlled vehicle. Alessandro Dubini and of counsel Aian Abbas are also highly regarded. Former head of the private equity as well as corporate and M&A practices Stefano Speroni left the firm in January 2019 for an in-house role at ENI.
