Bech-Bruun’s ‘top’ insolvency and restructuring team handles the full array of matters, including business restructurings, debt restructurings, acquisition of distressed assets, and insolvencies. A recent highlight was advising Nordex Group on the acquisition and restructuring of distressed SSP Technology. Recommended Troels Tuxen regularly handles bankruptcy-related litigation. Michael Serring is praised for his ‘dedication’ and ‘comprehension’.

Considered a key player in insolvency administration, Gorrissen Federspiel also has considerable experience in restructuring. John Sommer Schmidt heads the group that regularly represents banks and financial institutions in contentious and non-contentious insolvency-related matters. Morten L. Hans Jakobsen was appointed trustee of Tesi Aps in bankruptcy. Lars Grøngaard is another name to note.

Pro-activity’, ‘fast response times’ and ‘precise advice’ are characteristics of Horten’s five-partner insolvency and restructuring practice. A recent highlight was handling employees’ claims arising from the bankruptcy of German company Endless International that primarily operated through its Danish branch. Practice head Piya Mukherjee is ‘one of the best’ and regularly assists with cross-border matters.

Kammeradvokaten / Poul Schmith fields a five-partner insolvency and restructuring practice that advises public and private sector clients, with a special focus on financial institutions. Boris Frederiksen acted on behalf of IT Factory during its bankruptcy in a damages claim case against the software developer’s former management and accounting firm. Other key advisors are Rune Tandgaard Derno, Jesper Saugmandsgaard Øe and Morten Plannthin.

Service-mindedKromann Reumert is highly experienced in insolvency and restructuring matters, often with a cross-border element. ‘Highly skilled’ Teis Gullitz-Wormslev advised SSP Technology’s main creditor Sandton Capital on the default of its secured debt, including putting the wind turbine manufacturer into an in-court restructuring process and selling it to Nordex. Søren Aamann Jensen is recommended.

Plesner’s insolvency and restructuring practice is lauded for its ‘deep industry knowledge’. The group counts banks and insurance companies, including Danske Bank, Codan Forsikring and Nordea, among its clients. A recent mandate was the restructuring of brown goods retailer F Group; ‘highly competent’ practice head Pernille Bigaard is the appointed restructurer. Lars Skanvig was appointed trustee of Burmeister & Wain Energy in bankruptcy.

Extremely knowledgeable’ Andreas Kærsgaard Mylin heads the insolvency and restructuring practice at Accura Advokatpartnerselskab. Kærsgaard Mylin is a trustee of Jysk Group in bankruptcy and assists creditor Danske Bank with the sale of the real estate portfolio of Hans Probst Properties in bankruptcy.

Andersen Partners counts Danish and international creditors, such as Jyske Bank and Nordea among its clients and is highly experienced in insolvency matters in the textile and agriculture sector. A recent highlight was the appointment of Jan Bruun Jørgensen as trustee of Bios Ambulance Service in bankruptcy.

Bruun & Hjejle regularly acts for Danish banks and mortgage credit institutions, including Danske Bank, Realkredit Danmark and Spar Nord Bank. Practice head Henrik Selchau Poulsen was appointed trustee of Hesalight in bankruptcy and Gobike in bankruptcy.

DLA Piper Denmark handles the full range of insolvency and restructuring matters and is particularly active in the agricultural sector. A recent highlight was the restructuring of SSP Technology; co-practice head Henrik Sjørslev led the advice. Gert Nissen was appointed trustee of IF Group in bankruptcy proceedings.

Noted for its ‘extremely high service level’, Delacour is experienced in bankruptcy estates, restructurings and debt collection. Thomas Heering was appointed trustee of Danmark Accessorie in bankruptcy. Flemming Bastholm heads the team, which welcomed Per Buttenschøn from Brockstedt-Kaalund Advokatpartnerselskab.

Lund Elmer Sandager advises on a broad range of matters, covering insolvency, restructuring, creditor arrangements and litigation. Head of department Christian B. Elmer regularly acts for banks and financial institutions. Names to note are Jørgen B. Elmer and Nete Weber.

Very goodElmann is recommended for restructuring and insolvency matters within the construction industry. ‘Hands-on’ department lead Finn Lynge Jepsen often represents Danish housing cooperatives such as Duegaarden and Klostergaarden.

At Holst, Advokater, Henrik Steen Jensen leads a five-partner team that handles a broad range of insolvency and restructuring matters. Key advisors are Erik Jensen, Jørgen Holst, Kurt Siggaard and Claus Hedegaard Eriksen.

Lundgrens’ three-partner team regularly acts for Danish and international creditors in insolvency and restructuring matters. Key clients include Nykredit and Sydbank. The group is jointly led by Kristian Gustav Andersson and financing expert Ian Tokley.

Mazanti-Andersen Korsø Jensen provides assistance in a wide range of insolvency and restructuring matters and is particularly experienced in liquidations. Henrik B. Sanders heads the team that includes Peter Wedel Ranch Krarup and Michael L. Jacobsen.

Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen’s insolvency and restructuring department is led by Thomas Weitemeyer who is a trustee for several bankruptcy estates, including Danflex Group and EOS Sport. On the creditor side notable clients are Danske Bank and Nordea.

Jointly led by Malene Eigtved and Jørgen Erik Frandsen, Njord Law Firm has solid experience in insolvencies, restructurings, creditor agreements and debt collection. Representative clients include Jyske Bank, Sydbank and Nykredit.

Skau Reipurth & Partnere’s team is ‘strong in mid-sized cases’ and ‘always very committed’. Jointly headed by the ‘highly respectedAnders Hoffmann and Anders Ørskov Melballe, the team represents creditors in insolvency proceedings and handles distressed M&A and restructurings. Key clients include Danske Bank and Realkredit Danmark.
