Troels Tuxen heads Bech-Bruun’s ten-partner group, which added Erik Malberg, Bjørn Wittrup and Henning Hansen through the merger with Philip Law Firm. In addition to handling bankruptcy proceedings for Århus Værft, the team is involved in major corporate restructurings for The Containership Company, DGI Sports, and Culture Center and Emmerys. Michael Serring, Karl Stephensen and Ole Borch are appointed receivers at Copenhagen Bankruptcy Court.
Gorrissen Federspiel’s practice head Lars Grøngaard and Anne Birgitte Gammeljord acted on the restructuring of Nordjysk Lift. John Sommer Schmidt is the administrator of Green Wind Energy and Scan Energy.
Lisa Bo Larsen heads Kromann Reumert’s Copenhagen group while Christian Jul Madsen leads the team in Aarhus; both have ‘in-depth knowledge’. Both lawyers are appointed trustees in the bankruptcies of De Gule Sider and Broederne A&B Andersen and assist in major restructurings: for example, Larsen is representing the Cimber Sterling bankruptcy estate. Søren Aamann Jensen advises Duegaarden and Teis Gullitz-Wormslev is acting for Taeppeland.
Plesner’s 22-lawyer team is jointly led by Michael Zeigler and the ‘quick, responsive, focused’ Pernille Bigaard, who are permanent trustees of the Maritime and Commercial Court. Karsten Kielland heads Accura Advokatpartnerselskab’s team, which is advising Finansiel Stabilitet on Synerco’s bankruptcy. Anders Ørskov Melballe and Jacob Smith Madsen were promoted to the partnership. Madsen is acting as bankruptcy trustee to five K/S Schwanebeck companies in bankruptcy, which own wind turbines in Germany, and Melballe is representing Nordea Bank as bankruptcy trustee to a major entrepreneur.
Horten Law Firm’s practice head Piya Mukherjee, who is a permanent trustee at the Maritime and Commercial Court, is representing International Paint in a dispute relating to the Skycon restructuring. Nicolai Dyhr represented the Danish Tax Authorities (SKAT) in the Jan Oscar Jensen Group restructuring. Claus Bennetsen represents banks and handles financial restructuring matters. Birgitte Frølund and her team joined from Frølundwinsløw.
Jan Bech and Henrik Sjørslev lead LETT Law Firm P/S’s team, which assists Poul Schmith Law Firm and Danish tax authorities with insolvency and bankruptcy cases outside Copenhagen, and also advises the Danish Tax Authorities (SKAT), financial institutions and leasing companies. Sjørslev was appointed bankruptcy trustee of Cimber Sterling Group and BIVA. Per Astrup Madsen and Gert Nissen are other leading names.
Poul Schmith Law Firm’s group head Boris Frederiksen represents the Danish state in bankruptcy and restructuring matters, particularly in the financial services sector. The group also advises private sector clients in insolvency matters.

Recent instructions include large restructurings in farming and real estate, including Jesper Høy advising on the restructuring of the Tommy Frank Property and Energy Group.
Michael Gregersen in Aarhus and Kaj Andreassen in Copenhagen co-head Delacour Law Firm’s team, which acts for banks and leasing companies and undertakes extensive debt collection activities. Bo Vadt Christensen is a permanent trustee of the Maritime and Commercial Court.

Jørgen Frandsen’s four-partner practice at MAQS Law Firm handles restructuring, bankruptcy, suspension of payments, and creditor’s arrangements, and assists Nykredit, Sydbank and Finansiel Stabilitet with winding up distressed banks and settling loan facilities. The team was strengthened when Ulrik Asbjørn joined following the firm’s merger with Bang + Regnarsen and Peter Tauby Sørensen arrived during the merger with Norsker & Co. Law Firm in January 2013.
