Jes Anker Mikkelsen and Henrik Valdorf-Hansen and the rest of Bech-Bruun’s ‘highly skilled, responsive’ team handle regulatory work, insurance portfolio transfers and high-value domestic and international disputes, including mediations and arbitrations. Mikkelsen is Danish counsel to Lloyd’s of London. Other clients include insurers such as Zurich, AIG, TrygVesta and If, and commercial clients Energinet.dk, Hewlett-Packard and Vestas. Anne Buhl Bjelke was promoted to partner.

Kromann Reumert’s ‘highly qualified’ team handles insurance company mergers, and advises international insurers entering Denmark. Jens Rostock-Jensen’s ‘insurance knowledge is second to none’. Together with Jakob Rosing, he is advising on compensation claims relating to Denmark’s first class action – the bankTrelleborg case. Lars Rosenberg Overby advises on insurance regulation, assessment of insurance products and transport-related insurance. Morten Samuelsson and Christina Neugebauer left to establish niche insurance and maritime boutique Samuelsson Neugebauer & Partnere.

Plesner’s 12-lawyer team advises on product, commercial and professional liability. ‘Well known insurance law expert’ and certified arbitrator Torben Bondrop heads the practice, and is ‘a good listener with strong technical capabilities’.
