Career

Esteban Carcavallo is the partner in charge of the Labor Law department.

His practice is focused on counseling and representing the main industrial, financial,  banking and insurance companies in the country, both in lawsuits and collective bargaining, in all matters regulated by labor laws and social security.

He has been in charge of legal audits and in the management and organization of human resources. In numerous companies in process of sale, merger or industrial reconversion, participated in the process of creation of the certification of Compliance with Labor Standards under the direction of the INDER.

He chairs the Labor Law and Social Security Commission of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association, directs the Labor and Social Security Journal of the UCA, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Association of Labor Law and Social Security and is member in different negotiating committees of wages and collective bargaining agreements.

He is the author of numerous notes and comments on current issues in Labor Law and Social Security in various specialized journals, and author of monthly comments published in The On Line Law. He exhibits regularly in seminars and conferences of his specialty.

The team handles labour litigation at all court levels and is also well versed in staff restructurings, due diligence procedures, human resources, benefits and compensation, compliance, and certifications. Remote working policies, the payment of salaries in foreign currencies and cryptocurrency, and policies for expatriates have been other busy areas. Highly respected labour expert Esteban Carcavallo has stepped back from the firm’s partnership but continues to serve as joint practice head with counsel Edgardo Isola, a labour specialist who handles general labour law matters, the prevention and resolution of complex individual disputes, labour litigation and collective bargaining. Of counsel Gabriel Schlosser provides additional specialist labour expertise, but senior associate Gonzalo Gago left he firm in 2022.
