Position

Marc Seddon joined Walkers’ Jersey office in 2007 where he is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Marc specialises in commercial litigation, including regulatory, insolvency and trust disputes.​

Career

Prior to joining Walkers Marc practised as the commercial litigation partner of a firm in Greater Manchester.

WALKERS‘ growing disputes practice covers the full spectrum, with particular bright spots in insolvency, trusts and commercial matters. Nigel Sanders, in addition to accepting mandates as a Jersey law expert in cases abroad, handles disputes including complex trust litigation, cross-border asset tracing and tax information exchange matters. Group partner Fraser Hern‘s mandates include international insolvency and security enforcement matters, while Marc Seddon‘s work has included cases at the interface of employment and commercial litigation as well as trusts cases. James Turnbull and Niall MacDonald are two key senior associates in the team.

Robert Dobbyn heads a WALKERS practice that advises HNW families from Asia, the Middle East and beyond, and their advisers, on creating and managing wealth structures. Marc Seddon, who also handles some contentious work, is active in regulatory matters and issues against a backdrop of foreign tax law, and his work has included matters concerning employee benefit trusts. Senior counsel Sevyn Kalsi, in addition to connections in mainland Europe, advises members of Indian communities worldwide.
