Fraser has been described by Chambers Asia-Pacific as “a standout adviser for contentious matters …, who works alongside clients to steer through difficult situations”, as “coming highly recommended for his talent as an insolvency and restructuring lawyer, with a strong track record in both contentious and non-contentious matters” and as being “widely recognised for his restructuring and insolvency expertise, in relation to which he earns plaudits for having established a ‘very successful practice'”. Legal 500 describes Fraser as “exceling in the litigation and restructuring space”. Fraser has also been recognised as a leading lawyer by the International Who’s Who of Asset Recovery Lawyers.

Walkers’ insolvency and dispute resolution team houses Fraser Hern, who is frequently engaged in cross-border restructurings, often in tandem with the firm’s BVI desk. Trust litigation experts include practice head Nigel Sanders and associate James Turnbull; instructions are received from beneficiaries and trustees. Rounding out the partnership, Marc Seddon is a go-to name for breach of trust actions, constructive dismissal claims, recovery actions and partnership disputes. The practice works with the firm’s banking and finance professionals to handle security enforcements.
Walkers‘s Cayman and BVI-focused team in London is ‘an invaluable resource‘, with solid capabilities in corporate and M&A, banking and finance, insolvency and dispute resolution matters. Its wide coverage spans from the Caribbean to Ireland and Africa, especially Nigeria and West Africa. The team mainly assists international UK, US and European financial institutions and private equity houses, as well as sovereign wealth funds, global corporations, capital markets participants and investment fund managers. Managing partner Jack Boldarin has longstanding offshore experience and is recognised as a leading Cayman and BVI law specialist. His team includes senior counsel and securitisation specialist Catherine Overton, as well as Mark Galazzi, who leads the asset finance team. John O’Driscoll is in charge of a growing insolvency and dispute resolution practice, which includes the experienced Fraser Hern. In late 2020, the team was bolstered by the arrivals of Tatziana Paraguacuto and Matthew Bloomfield from Maples Group.
