Career

Kevin Muck defends issuers, officers and directors in securities class actions, derivative litigation, merger litigation and shareholder disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States, with extensive experience in the Delaware Court of Chancery. For nearly 35 years, he has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including life sciences, software, data storage and security, financial services, telecommunications, transportation, entertainment, gaming, and consumer retail. His clients have ranged from Fortune 100 corporations to high-profile private companies.

Mr. Muck also advises clients on corporate governance, disclosure issues and fiduciary duties, and handles internal and board investigations regarding such matters as accounting issues, executive compensation, whistleblower complaints and insider training. In addition, he represents companies and individuals in matters before the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr. Muck joined WilmerHale in 2020 after more than 15 years at another Bay Area law firm, where he co-founded the securities litigation practice and represented many leading technology and life science companies.

Professional Activities

A frequent lecturer, Mr. Muck often speaks on issues involving securities matters, fiduciary duties and class action litigation. He is also active in pro bono matters.
