Robert Ludwig
Work Department
Robert is a partner in the Eversheds Sutherland Banking team with over a decade of experience of all areas of real estate finance. His practice covers a broad range of transaction types including acquisitions, developments, refinancing’s, loan/portfolio acquisitions, loan-to-own transactions, debt buybacks and restructurings.
Robert acts for both lenders and borrowers across the capital structure, including banks, financial institutions, funds and investment companies. He has particular expertise advising on complex intercreditor issues, having acted for both senior and mezzanine lenders on a variety of structured real estate financings.
Robert has strong cross-border experience having worked across multiple jurisdictions, including spending a year working in European offices (Amsterdam and Munich). Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Robert spent nine years at a Magic Circle law firm and 18 months on secondment to J.P. Morgan, Barclays and Starwood Capital, performing legal, structuring and transaction management roles.
Robert is currently listed as a "Next Generation Lawyer" in the Legal 500 rankings for Property Finance.
