With one of the largest restructuring groups worldwide, Kirkland & Ellis LLP remains the go-to practice for both distressed companies and creditors. Its global reach comes on the back of a consolidated domestic presence (with main offices in New York and Chicago) and major international practices in London, Munich, and Hong Kong. Edward Sassower and James Sprayregen coordinate the substantial team, which includes Jonathan Henes (who has strengths in advising on legacy, environment, and pension liabilities of distressed companies), Anup Sathy (who worked for companies and investors in relation to some of the most relevant cases of the year), and consumer and retail expert Joshua Sussberg.
