Career
Lauren Falkowitz is an associate in the firm’s Private Equity group and is a member of the Private Investment Funds practice. She is also member of the Boston Hiring Committee, the Private Investment Funds US Knowledge Management Advisory Group, and the Private Investment Funds Training Committee.
Lauren’s practice focuses on all aspects of the formation, operation and ongoing maintenance of private investment funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, co-investments, fund-of-funds, secondaries and other investment advisory businesses in the United States and internationally. Lauren advises clients on both their formation and fundraising activities, as well as their ongoing operational affairs, including regulatory compliance, investor relations, governance, investment personnel matters and administrative considerations. She advises a range of clients from some of the most well-known multi-billion dollar global investment firms to much smaller firms forming early-stage venture capital funds. Her practice also includes advising sponsors on the design of general partner and management company structures.
In 2020, Lauren completed a six-month secondment with Charlesbank, where she advised on the fundraising of their recent private equity fund.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, Lauren worked for nine years in the financial services sector; three years with MBNA, and six years with American Express.
