Paulo focuses his practice on matters related to technology, data protection, IP as well as Banking and Financial Services. For the past 25 years, he has been assisting domestic and foreign companies from virtually all economic sectors. Paulo holds a PhD (livre-docente) from the São Paulo Catholic University, where he teaches business law and is co-chair of the Law and Technology Initiative. He is also a Professor of Law and Technology at Insper Law School.

He is a current member of ITechLaw, where he served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors and for three years as chair of the Latin America Membership Committee. He was chair of the Brazilian Association of Information Technology an Communications Law (ABDTIC), as well as director of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr) and chair of the Legal Committee of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Brazil.
