Roberta Pimentel combines her domestic and international experience working on complex, multi-jurisdiction and innovative transactions, with strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the market and contacts throughout all the network of players involved in this type of transactions in Brazil. Roberta Pimentel has extensive experience in infrastructure, power, oil & gas, mining, renewables, transportation, financing and other sectors representing both project sponsors and financial institutions, as well as investors, financial advisors and multilateral organizations. The track record built by Roberta Pimentel working in project development, banking and finance, capital markets and M&A transactions allows her to offer our clients different perspectives on complex issues and work together towards practical and creative problem-solving solutions. Highlight of her recent works include the financing of the Olympic Park for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games of 2016 and the multi-source bridge and long-term financings for the various phases of the Pirapora Solar Complex, the largest solar project in Latin America, which was considered a landmark deal for project financings in Brazil. Last year, Roberta also advised our clients on relevant banking and financing transactions, such as Pirapora’s (a Brazilian subsidiary of EDF Énérgies Nouvelles S.A.) issuance of infrastructure bonds guaranteed by IDB and by the project SPVs, which was the first guarantee issued by IDB in local currency in connection with the financing of a solar power project in Brazil
