Position

Lauren is a senior specialist family lawyer. She has significant experience and offers robust and straightforward advice to clients in relation to all types of relationship generated issues, including:

  • pre- and post- nuptial agreements
  • divorce and civil partnership dissolution and cohabitees’ disputes
  • complex contested financial disputes arising on relationship breakdown, including multi-jurisdictional disputes
  • contested proceedings relating to children, including applications for contact, residence, leave to remove, prohibited steps order and abduction

Lauren will always seek to find a sensitive and family-focussed solution to relationship generated disputes and promotes alternative dispute resolution solutions wherever possible. When litigation cannot be avoided, Lauren has a reputation as a perceptive, persuasive and accomplished Advocate having considerable experience appearing before the Royal Court of Jersey at all levels.

Career

Lauren joined Carey Olsen in 2013 before departing in 2017 to practise at a small specialist litigation firm. She returned in 2018 taking over as the firm’s family law specialist.

Lauren has recently been appointed to sit as Treasurer and Committee Member of the Jersey Family Law Association.

Lauren is also a member of Resolution, formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association, an organisation of family law professionals.

Carey Olsen is instructed by HNWIs to handle Jersey-based and multi-jurisdictional family matters, including both amicable and contentious divorces and associated disputes concerning children, property and maintenance payments; the group is particularly well known for its strength in assisting with the drafting of pre-nuptial agreements. Steering the practice is Marcus Pallot, an experienced litigator who represents wealthy individuals in divorce proceedings. Lauren Glynn, who was promoted to counsel in January 2023, represents clients going through divorces and subsequent disputes relating to finances and children. Tori Cure‘s practice encompasses contested child-related matters, but she has a particular focus on trust matters, while Tara Lee, who joined the firm from BCR Law in January 2022, supports clients engaged in multi-jurisdictional trust and financial disputes, in addition to handling leave to remove cases.
