Career

Stuart is a Senior Associate working across both our Corporate and Property teams.

Stuart trained at a City firm, qualifying as a Solicitor (England & Wales) in 2014.  He then spent a number of years working in the City, with his practice being largely focused on mergers and acquisitions and property deals in the healthcare sector.

After relocating to Guernsey in 2019, Stuart spent more than two years building his offshore practice with another Guernsey-based offshore law firm before joining Ferbrache & Farrell in January 2022.

Since making the move offshore, Stuart’s practice has encompassed all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions (and associated funding and security), as well as broader corporate and commercial work such as amalgamations, re-structuring, migrations, legal opinions, business formations, general corporate governance and advice on ancillary agreements such as partnership and shareholder agreements.

He also advises on general property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and development agreements. He is also experienced in the provision of advice for banks and other financial institutions on their security requirements in respect of the funding of corporate and real estate transactions.  His experience also extends to English residential transactions for high net worth clients.

Stuart’s client base encompasses the full spectrum of the offshore world, including a mix of both local and international businesses, high net worth individuals, family offices, trust companies, banks and other institutional clients.

He is able to advise on both English and Guernsey law matters.
