Career

Having started her legal career in both commercial and criminal litigation since joining the firm as a pupil upon graduation in 2007, Sheila has been involved in a broad spectrum of disputes and advisory work.

Sheila has deep experience and expertise in corporate restructuring and contentious insolvency, as well as financial disputes, investigations, fraud and asset recovery. She has been at the forefront of recent major restructurings and insolvencies in the region, including Vauld, Eagle Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust, BSI Bank Singapore, Dynamic Oil Trading (part of the O.W. Bunker Group), MF Global Singapore, various Lehman Brothers Singapore entities, and Ocean Tankers.

Sheila is a Fellow of INSOL International and a member of the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen Leadership Program. She was recognised as a Future Star for Insolvency in Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific 2023, as well as being distinguished as one of the rising stars in INSOL’s Young Practitioner Spotlight 2022.
