Partner. Julie qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and joined Nelsons’ expert Medical Negligence team in January 2024. Julie specialises in a wide spectrum of clinical negligence matters, particularly in claims concerning brain injuries suffered by babies at birth and claims concerning surgical errors.

Career

Joined Freeths as a Trainee Solicitor in 1993 and qualified into the clinical negligence team in 1995. Made a Partner at Freeths in 2002 until 2014 when joined Barratts Solicitors as a partner. Joined Nelsons as a Partner in January 2024.

Have been dealing with clinical negligence work on behalf of claimants since qualifying in 1995.

Joining in March 2022 from Russell-Cooke LLP, Lucy Wilton handles the full spectrum of claims arising in the hospital, general practice and mental healthcare settings, as well as represents families involved in inquest proceedings. Senior associates Dianne Collins and Carolle White also provide significant support and expertise.
