Position

Isaac commenced full practice in 2015 after completing his pupillage with Mr. Clement Lau, Mr. Liu Man Kin (now District Judge MK Liu), Mr. Erik Shum and Mr. Derek Chan (now Derek Chan SC).  

He maintains a broad practice across the full spectrum of civil disputes including, but not limited to, trust and probate, land disputes, nuisance claims, building management disputes, personal injuries, defamation, and other general commercial disputes.  He also has experience in providing legal opinions for companies proposed for listing.  

In particular, he has developed a keen interest in probate and trust matters.  He has represented and advised executors, administrators and beneficiaries in administration actions, removal actions and Beddoe applications.  One of the estates in which he has advised on was worth over HK$1.0 billion.  

Isaac also has experience in handling defamation cases, several of which involved very high-profile public figures.  

Isaac has appeared as an advocate (either in his own right or as a led junior) in statutory appeal boards, the District Court, Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal.

Since 2020, Isaac has frequently returned to assist the Court of Appeal as a Judicial Associate (General).  He previously assisted Lam VP before his appointment to the Court of Final Appeal and now assists Kwan VP.
