Mr Ronald Pang
Position
Ronald has a broad civil practice spanning all areas of the law with an emphasis on commercial and chancery work, in particular arbitration, probate and estate administration, land, construction and company law. Prior to entering the Hong Kong Bar, he was trained as a solicitor and studied civil engineering/computer science in Australia.
As to Ronald’s experience, he has experience dealing with disputes relating to estate administration, probate and trusts, land and easements, construction, company disputes, intellectual property, both international and domestic arbitration, matrimonial law, defamation, mental health, personal and corporate insolvency, shipping, professional negligence, personal injury, building management, and sales of goods.
Apart from his civil practice, Ronald is also developing a practice in public law.
Recently, he was part of the counsel team that sought the sanctioning of the scheme to privatize Allied Properties (HK) Limited.
On the ADR side, Ronald is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has experience with matters relating to both arbitration and mediation. In respect to arbitrations, he has experience as counsel and as tribunal assistant in both domestic and international arbitrations involving construction, shipping, sale of goods and commodities disputes primarily involving HKIAC Rules or UNCITRAL rules.

In RM v AY, Marwah acted for the claimant in successfully annulling her forced marriage on the grounds of duress, the first case of its kind in Hong Kong. Shaphan Marwah also has a notable family law practice, covering matrimonial finance matters, children-related disputes, and issues concerning the Hague Convention.
