Jelena Milinovic is an expert with over 20 years of experience in commercial, civil, and administrative litigation, arbitration, in defence of clients in criminal investigations and criminal proceedings, misdemeanours, economic/corporate offenses and other penal proceedings, above all from the field of customs, transport and taxes. Before joining the Belgrade Bar Association, she served for 16 years as judge both in civil and in the criminal law field.

Given her experience, she focuses her practice on representing and advising clients in the most complex civil, criminal, and other penal proceedings and administrative disputes. Her clients include banks, multinational and domestic companies, trade chains, transport logistic and infrastructure companies, waste management companies and construction companies.

She represented and advised one of the largest international trade chains in real estate litigations.

In the sector of financial services, she was the leading lawyer in a unique case of the restructuring of one important European bank.

She represented several international shipping and logistic companies and the multinational chemical company in proceedings related to customs and other transportation issues.

In the field of environmental protection law and hazardous waste management she was the leading lawyer in two of the largest criminal proceedings in the field of environmental protection law and hazardous waste management, where she represented and defended international companies and their management bodies. Also, in the field of hazardous waste management, she represented some of the largest European companies in commercial, misdemeanour and economic offenses disputes.

She represented and advised companies in cases in which they were damaged by criminal acts committed to their detriment, either by employees or third parties.

Before joining our team, she held the position of partner and head of one of the departments in a prominent law firm for commercial law and she was recognized by independent world directories that evaluate the work of law firms around the world.
