Career
Bartosz Romanowski advises financial institutions, mostly insurance companies and banks, in various legal aspects of their day-to-day activity. He represents financial institutions in regulatory proceedings before the regulators, including the Polish Financial Supervision Authority as well as the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. He successfully represents these clients in court proceedings, including common courts (civil proceedings), the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, as well as administrative courts. He focuses on legal aspects of cooperation between insurers and banks (bancassurance). This involves, among others, advising in relation to the structure of such cooperation, drafting the relevant agreements regulating the cooperation, assisting in negotiations between insurers and banks, drafting insurance documentation including general terms and conditions of insurance, advising in related mergers and acquisitions transactions, and assisting in all regulatory proceedings in this respect.
Bartosz is the author of publications regarding insurance activity, consumer protection law, and personal data protection.
