Recognized for advising financial institutions, including insurance companies, banks, and payment institutions in various legal aspects of their day-to-day activity, Karol Ruszkowski focuses on the legal aspects of cooperation between insurers and banks (bancassurance). This includes advising on the structure and principles of such cooperation, introduction, and modification of internal and external procedures, drafting of agreements and other relevant documents regulating such cooperation, assisting in negotiations between insurers and banks, and drafting insurance documentation, including general terms and conditions of insurance.
Karol also advises on mergers and acquisitions transactions in the insurance market. He represents financial institutions in regulatory proceedings before the regulators, including the Commission for Financial Supervision as well as the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. He also successfully represents these clients in court proceedings, including common courts (civil proceedings), Supreme Court, the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, as well as administrative courts.
Karol has also been advising other participants active in financial markets, including investment fund management companies and general pension societies. He is also involved in advising payment institutions in their day-to-day activity, including regulatory aspects and regular commercial activity.
