Partner and head of the Public and Regulatory Law Practice in the Madrid, Valencia and Seville offices. He is the European Legal Coordinator of Andersen Global as well as member of the European Regional Board of the firm.
José Vicente Morote was previously Partner and responsible of the Public and Regulatory department of Olleros Abogados and Managing Partner of LexUrban Abogados & Urbanistas, part of LexCorporate Abogados, a firm specializing in Public Law, providing advice on administrative, Urban and Real Estate Law issues. Before this, he was an associate at the Public Law Practice of J&A Garrigues.
Jose Vicente Morote has advised a number of Public Agencies on Administrative Law issues since 1995.
Jose Vicente has PHD of Law from the University of Bologna. He was appointed Dean of the Law University Catolica de Valencia, San Vicente Mártir, from 2007 to 2014. He is a Public Servant specialising in administrative issues at Local Authority (on special leave).
He has participated as teacher in several courses and conferences in several universities and institutions. He has published a number of books on Administrative Law issues, namely ‘Las Circulares normativas de la Administración Pública, Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch; ‘Comentarios a la Ley Reguladora de las Bases de Régimen Local’, Civitas Thomson. Madrid; ‘Práctica de Administración Local: Formularios y Documentos’, published in 2006. He has also written a number of articles and taken part in the drafting of codes, compilations, translations and recessions. Furthermore, he has directed a number of Postgraduate Theses (PhD) and other academic works.

Known for providing commercial advice from offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville, Andersen has broad real estate experience covering the acquisition of portfolios of real estate assets, sale and leasebacks, joint ventures, financing, refinancing and SOCIMIs. The firm also has expertise in the areas of urban planning and construction law. José Vicente Morote co-leads the team with real estate and construction law expert Maite Hernandez.
