Career

Jonathan is head of Fieldfisher’s Mining and Metals Group and has extensive experience of acting for mining companies operating throughout the world. 

He advises on commercial mining matters (such as earn-in agreements, joint ventures, offtake agreements and licensing and investment matters with national governments) and corporate matters (such as IPOs, fundraisings and M&A).

Jonathan is regularly published and quoted in the mining sector press on topical issues.

His clients include Beowulf Mining, Central Asia Metals, Cornish Metals, Dalradian Gold, Fusion Capital, Osisko Gold Royalties and Savannah Resources.

Work highlights this year include advising Beowulf Mining on its £7.4 million fundraising in the UK and Sweden; Cornish Metals on its AIM IPO to raise £8.2 million; and Everest Alliance on its requisition of a general meeting successfully to replace the management of Petropavlovsk.

His broader practice involves a range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and venture capital investment in sectors including industrial products and services, food and beverage and logistics.
