Partner. Balz Gross is the Head of Homburger’s Disputes (Litigation / Arbitration) practice. He advises clients on the international coordination of arbitral, state court and criminal proceedings covering multiple jurisdictions. He has extensive experience regarding all aspects of international arbitration (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, Swiss Rules, ad hoc, etc.) and complex litigation before Swiss state courts and authorities, including criminal proceedings and employment (compensation) related disputes. He has acted as party counsel in more than one hundred international arbitrations, in particular in proceedings relating to mergers and acquisitions, long-term supply contracts, distribution contracts and joint ventures. Balz Gross acts as counsel in large, mostly international proceedings before the state courts in all Swiss cantons, in particular the Commercial Courts, and represents foreign and Swiss clients in proceedings involving criminal law issues. Balz Gross is the Co-Head of the Employment and Executive Compensation Practice and has extensive experience in employment related disputes and employment aspects of transactions.
