Partner, Head of the IP/IT team and Deputy Head of the Litigation/Arbitration team. Main areas of work are IP and IT-related litigation and arbitration. Other areas include sports, distribution, internet, privacy and media law as well as technology-related transactional work. Experienced litigator before civil and administrative courts.
Qualified in 1992. Worked at Max Planck Institute Munich, 1994-95. Joined Homburger in 1995, becoming Partner in 2003.
Co-Chair of the IBA’s IP and Entertainment Law Committee, ASA, AIPPI, LES.

Homburger provides advice on all areas of IP including licenses, trade marks, copyrights and patents, and represents clients in IP litigation, particularly patent claims. The team includes individuals with a technical background, giving it particular expertise in regulated sectors including the TMT, life sciences, energy and financial services industries. Gregor Bühler has particular experience in the IP aspects of transactional matters and assists clients from the media and life science industries with regulatory issues. Andri Hess and ‘stand-out partner’ Georg Rauber are experienced in patent litigation and arbitration proceedings, advisory work and IP contracts.
The healthcare and life sciences practice at Homburger combines the expertise of a multi-disciplinary group of practitioners; together, they advise an impressive portfolio of national and international companies from the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries, among others. Dieter Gericke is the key contact for corporate matters and transactions in this space, while Andri Hess advises on patents and patent litigations. Gregor Bühler has experience in regulatory and IP matters. Competition expert Marcel Dietrich, Frank Gerhard and recently promoted Luca Dal Molin are also key members of the team.
The employment law and executive compensation practice at Homburger consists of interdisciplinary employment law specialists who are also experienced in complementary areas and who advise on issues related to employment as well as representing clients in transactions and disputes. The ‘exceptional’ team has specialisations in bonus schemes, executive remuneration and tax matters related to employment. Practice heads Balz Gross and Andreas Müller advise corporate clients on matters relating to senior executives, compensation and incentive plans, as does Claude Lambert. Gregor Bühler specialises on the intersection between employment and IP/IT law.
Homburger advises a variety of clients on data privacy and data protection issues, among them global players from the technology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, consumer goods, financial services and insurance sectors. The team supports clients in GDPR implementation projects, advises on cross-border data transfers, handles disputes with authorities as well as disclosures to authorities, supports technology companies with the implementation of novel and innovative technology and assists with the data privacy and protection aspects of transactions. Luca Dal Molin made partner in January of 2020 and jointly heads the department with Gregor Bühler.
