Career

Peter Svanqvist is a partner who focuses on banking and finance, out-of-court restructuring, and insolvency. His principal areas of work are cross-border leveraged finance transactions, real estate finance, fund financing, and investment-grade lending. He represents Swedish and foreign banks, financial institutions, private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and direct lending funds.

Peter is the head of Schjødt’s Banking & Finance group. He has been a lawyer since 2003 and joined Schjødt in 2022 from White & Case in Stockholm, where he worked as a Counsel. Before that, Peter worked at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) and the Swedish law firm Vinge.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Stockholm and has a D.U. Europeen en Analyse Economique du Droit, Law and Economics from Université dÁix-Marseille III and a European Master in Law and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
