Position

Søren Lehmann Nielsen is a partner in Plesner’s Tax Law team. Søren advises enterprises, authorities, foundations, associations, pension funds and private individuals on tax matters.

Søren is a highly respected litigator and conducts all types of legal proceedings on taxes and duties. He is currently involved in a number of important cases concerning transfer pricing, withholding tax on dividends, VAT exemption, deductions for operating expenses and section 3 of the Danish Tax Assessment Act on the abuse of rights.

Søren is recognised as a tax specialist in Chambers, Legal 500 and World Tax.

As a member of the tax committee under the Danish Bar and Law Society, Søren comments draft legislation and draft guidance from the tax authorities. In addition, Søren is chairman of The Copenhagen Bar Association and a member of the supervisory board of the Danish branch of the International Fiscal Association.
