Dispute resolution, regulatory issues and corporate work are the key areas of focus for Bech-Bruun's team. Practice head Henrik Valdorf-Hansen recently defended the City of Copenhagen against two claims brought separately by Tryg Insurance and Codan Insurance relating to a fire at a municipal property. Anne Buhl Bjelke is an expert in regulatory matters and advised multiple insurance companies on the new Insurance Distribution Directive. Jes Anker Mikkelsen specialises in contentious work and acted for Betri as insurer of two accountants in indemnity claims arising from the collapse of Eik Bank. Mogens Gaarden is also a key name to note; he represented a board member of Roskilde Bank following its collapse.

DLA Piper Denmark handles disputes and regulatory mandates for clients including PFA and Chubb Insurance. The team is jointly led by Georg Lett, who is an expert in contentious matters; he recently acted for EY in a liability claim related to its involvement as external auditor in the 2008 collapse of Roskilde Bank. Group co-head Pernille Sølling also focuses on litigation and regulatory issues, and Anders Julius Tengvad handles insurance disputes.

Gorrissen Federspiel's expertise encompasses transactional matters, disputes and regulatory work; Bupa and Codan are notable clients. Henriette Gernaa leads the team and is an expert in contentious work; she represented Deloitte Denmark in professional negligence claims against the auditors of the now-defunct OW Bunker. Also noted are regulatory specialist Morten Nybom Bethe, disputes expert Peter Appel and Jens V. Mathiasen, who focuses on commercial and marine insurance.

Kromann Reumert's department is 'very knowledgeable on all aspects of the insurance industry' and provides 'the highest quality advice' across regulatory and contentious issues. M&A and regulatory expert Jens Steen Hensen provides 'excellent corporate and commercial advice' and advised Echelon Financial Holdings on its sale of Qudos Insurance; Jacob Høeg Madsen assisted PKA with its joint acquisition with Axcel of a majority share of Danmarks Skibskredit. Jens Rostock-Jensen specialises in product liability issues.

Torben Bondrop leads the practice at Plesner and has an extensive background in contentious insurance matters.  Bondrop recently acted for Lego, which alleged that its excess property and business interruption insurance was wrongfully terminated by If Insurance. Also recognised is Charlotte Hasseriis Iversen, who advises on regulatory issues.

Disputes and regulatory matters are the two key pillars of Horten's practice. Jacob Møller Dirksen heads up the team and recently advised Zurich Insurance on a fire, which occurred during the construction of the Experimentarium in Copenhagen. Indemnity specialist Christina Steen was recently promoted to the partnership.

Kennedys is 'very knowledgeable about insurance and tort law' with expertise in contentious and non-contentious matters. Morten Erritzøe Christensen provides 'a very satisfactory service' and 'never shies away from helping'.

Product and professional liability cases are the key areas of expertise for Lundgrens' insurance team, which is led by Jesper Hjetting, who has 'excellent knowledge of the insurance sector' and is 'very professional and pleasant'. Recent highlights include Hjetting acting for Topdanmark Livsforsikring in a compensation claim regarding a disabled person's pension; and Michael Amstrup, who is an expert in professional liability cases involving accountants and attorneys, defending Henrik Ziminowas, a member of the board of directors at Amagerbanken, in a liability claim brought by Financial Stability relating to the bank's bankruptcy. Nicolai Bo Sørensen also acts in directors' and management liability disputes.

Andersen Partners is highly skilled in liability claims and represents domestic and international insurers. Ulrik Christrup is a key figure and an expert in insurance disputes.

Litigation boutique Lundsgaard & Partnere is active in the insurance sector, with name partner Søren Lundsgaard handling contentious issues and recently acting for AIG Insurance and the former Chairman of the Board of Amagerbanken, which suffered a financial collapse. Lundsgaard also represented members of the former management of cooperative bank Andelskassen JAK Slagelse in issues relating to its bankruptcy.

Nielsen Nørager's skillset focuses on acting in disputes and advising on regulatory issues. Michael S. Wiisbye leads the practice and is an expert in contentious insurance and tort law matters. Another key figure is Jan Presfeldt, who is experienced in insurance liability cases.

Kammeradvokaten / Poul Schmith's team has 'deep expertise' and is 'very professional', with notable strength in insurance-related disputes. Henrik Nedergaard Thomsen leads the team and is 'a very solid professional resource', with 'a wealth of experience, knowledge and legal skill'; he recently acted for the Copenhagen Police Department in a claim brought by several citizens allegedly unlawfully detained during a large protest in the city. Other key names include Christian Bo Kolding-Krøger, who works on insurance and tort law cases, and Sigrid Majlund Kjærulff, who 'is very good at coming up with creative ways to present legal arguments'.

Key insurer clients of WSCO Advokatpartnerselskab include Tryg and XL Insurance, which the group advises on regulatory and liability-related matters. David Rubin is a key figure and highly experienced in contentious matters.
