Position

Marco mainly deals with EU and Italian Competition Law, Media Law, Electronic communications and energy, both, in the framework of investigative proceedings before the European Commission and the national authorities, as well as in judicial review proceedings. His practice also includes State aid, Internal Market, as well as common agricultural policy, public procurement and concessions, and transport Law.
In the aforementioned sectors, Marco advised several companies on matters of EU and national Law and took part to several investigations relating to cartels, abuses of a dominant position as well as in merger regulation proceedings. Over the years, Marco has also developed a proven track record in litigation, before both, EU and national jurisdictions.

Career

Marco Serpone joined the Firm in 2020 as a Partner. Previously, he worked for leading law Firms specialized in European Law.

Former adjunct professor of Antitrust and IP Law and Commercial Law at the University of Salerno, Faculty of Economics, and Lecturer of EU Law at University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Dipartimento di diritto ed economia delle attività produttive, he has also been advisor to the Ministry of Economic Development with particular reference to issues relating to the European regulatory framework on electronic communications networks and services.
