Rui Peixoto Duarte is a Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2006 working primarily in contracts, corporate and financial areas in corporate business structuring operations.

He focuses particularly on matters related to the incorporation of new business by international companies in Portugal and on acquisitions, mergers and demergers.

He has also participated in the negotiation of commercial distribution and agency contracts as well as in litigation proceedings involving contractual and corporate issues.

Additionally, he has extensive experience on advising in transactions in the automotive, information technology, real estate, food, healthcare, chemical and financial sectors having participated in important operations carried out in Portugal in recent years.

He is also Co-Head of the French Desk and Brazilian Desk and has collaborated on matters involving French and Brazilian legislation.
