Milosevic Law Firm

1) What do you see as the main points that differentiate Milosevic Law Firm from your competitors?

Milosevic Law Firm is a corporate law firm representing clients in the SEE region. We tend to understand the client’s industry and business needs so that our legal services can meet the client’s expectations. Being qualified in several jurisdictions helps us to skillfully navigate complex cross-border transactions that are being executed by key players in this region. Last year, with the aim of becoming a one-stop-shop for legal services we introduced a tax advisory service from which service we are constantly seeing benefits.

2) Which practices do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?

Considering that Serbia is going to be the host of EXPO 2027, there are extensive plans of the Serbian government to invest in the Expo halls, local commercial and residence premises fallowed with ancillary infrastructure. In parallel to this, the Government is investing in several highway projects, so Serbia is nowadays recognized as a major construction site in the SEE. Thus, construction and infrastructure practice are continuing to be the busiest legal practice. For the past several years, Milosevic Law Firm has been involved in major construction and infrastructure projects with extensive practice in this field, advising both investors and contractors.

3) What’s the main change you’ve made in the firm that will benefit clients?

Milosevic Law firm tends to have covered all key practices in business law, with experts that could deliver straightforward solutions.

In parallel to the recently added tax advisory, we also engaged white collar crime legal experts.

4) Is technology changing the way you interact with your clients, and the services you can provide them?

Technology in the legal profession is playing a big role and it is here to increase the effectiveness of service provision and to help smooth interaction with clients. We use some of the available tools for remote communication, and have developed in-house billing and CRM software, so the clients are up to date with the status of their mandates.  However, for brainstorming and important decisions face-to-face meetings are still indispensable.

5) Can you give us a practical example of how you have helped a client to add value to their business?

The vast experience we have acquired throughout different industries enables us to provide not only legal but also business advice. We tend to become long-term partners with our clients. There were situations where we were not only legal counsels in transactions, but also negotiators on behalf of clients, effectively navigating the closure of a deal. Also, in some cases, we were the ones who came up with the idea or found business opportunity.

6) Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms – where do you see the firm in three years’ time?

Clients expect stability of their law firms, and they do not tolerate anything which could diverge from this position. We at Milosevic Law Firm constantly invest in stenting our legal and human capacities to effectively follow all the client’s business and requests.

We expect to continue steady grow of the firm in terms of fee earners, revenues and the different practice and industries groups that are being covered by our law firm in the next three years.
