Position

Jemimah successfully completed pupillage at New Court Chambers. Jemimah practices in all areas of family law including public and private law children proceedings, financial relief and TOLATA. Jemimah also undertakes work in the Court of Protection. Jemimah appears for local authorities, parents and children’s guardians and has appeared in front of all levels of tribunal from Magistrates to the High Court.

Career

Called to the Bar 2009; Inner Temple.  Prior to undertaking pupillage at New Court Chambers, Jemimah worked as a High Court Judge’s Clerk to two Judges in the Family Division. She has been involved in High Court family and Court of Appeal proceedings in every area of family and Court of Protection law with a particular emphasis on High Court work including ‘big money’ financial relief, child abduction and Hague Convention, serious medical treatment and non-accidental injuries. During this time Jemimah spent significant amounts of time on the Midland Circuit as well as at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Previously Jemimah had worked in a number of roles within Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service maintaining her own administrative caseload of Family Law work covering divorce and financial relief, Children Act, and Family Law Act proceedings.
